As a rare scholar in Chinese history, the name Wang Yangming is a metaphor for everyone. His real name was Wang Shouren (1472-1529), his courtesy name was Bo’an, and his name was Yang Mingzi. Everyone called him “Yang Ming Chief Teacher”. He was born in Yuyao, Zhejiang, and his life was a stranger. His martial arts were extremely successful. These are mentioned in other works, so we won’t say anything.
In traditional society, those who can compete with it can only be the Zeng Guofan. But the Zeng Guofan was slightly more confusing in thinking or military affairs. In terms of thinking, Yang Ming established the “Study of Mind”; in terms of military affairs, Yang Ming was even more invincible. But what Yang Ming valued most was the former. All his words and deeds were the result of his confidant’s learning. The naval chief of the japan (Japanese) military power, Hirahachiro Tohshima, was carrying a waist card with the word “Yang Ming in his life”. Through the spirit that Yang Ming thought gave him, he won the full victory in the Japanese-Russia naval war from 1904 to 1905. This battle also became the first victory for modern Asian countries against European power.
This makes us wonder. Is Yangming Si really so magical? As we all know, Yangming’s important learning is the study of the mind, and the crystallization of the study of the mind is the “four sentence teaching”, which is already a common discussion in the academic world. The four sentences are:
The body without goodness and evil spirits,
There are goodness and evil spirits,
Knowing that goodness and evil spirits are confidants,
To be good and evil is to investigate things.
What secrets are hidden in this “Four Sentence Teaching” similar to the Buddhist verse?

“Four sentence teaching” is a question that every person who studies Yangming’s teachings must discuss, and the level of discussion can be imagined. However, because it is discussed too much, it will form a certain rigid understanding and concealment of it, and its original meaning will become obvious but not obvious. Like the 19th Confucian Confucian Emperor Huangzong in the early Qing DynastyXi said, “The way to learn is to be understood by each person who can understand it… The learners of the predecessors did not teach this very easily, and wanted to be satisfied by themselves. Even the people of the people were most afraid of explaining it, so people would play with it. This book is inevitable that it would be difficult to avoid the dispersion of the wind and chaos. The learners only gained the understanding and did not practice practical skills. However, Xi used this book to blame the whole country!” (“The Case of Ming Confucianism·Faifan”) The face of Yang Mingxin’s study was exactly this problem. Yangming’s mind and his academic scholars are already familiar with them, and concepts such as “confidant”, “integration of knowledge and action”, and “one mind and matter” are also easy to use. Moreover, people generally believe that learning about the mind means speaking of the mind. But as Lizhou said, if you don’t have the rest of your time to move to some concepts and arts without experiencing or realizing the truth of this concept and arts from the bottom of your heart, you will play them into a situation. This is the biggest cover for learning.
When we opened Yangming’s collection of essays, we found that he was really talking about it? In the eyes of the writer, the sun is not talking about the heart, but about the heaven (the world or the universe). The heart he talks about is the heart that looks at from the perspective of the universe, not the lonely moral heart in human beings. What the “Four Sentences Teaching” talks about is also the secret of the universe. In this, the Su contains a sacred six-member, which has not been fully unearthed. It seems that these four sentences are really short and small.

Among these four sentences, the most difficult thing to understand is the first and second sentences. These two sentences explain the relationship and characteristics of the universe, people and things, and at the same time understand the problem of good deeds.
Let’s look at the first sentence first: “No good and no evil spirit.”
Ordinary people regard this body of heart as the confidant of the human heart. However, the confidant Yang Ming said is divided into two levels: the confidant of heaven and the confidant of the heart of others. And the root cause is only one, that is, the confidant of heaven. A confidant in a human heart is just the physical manifestation of a confidant in a human heart. In this way, the confidant of the human heart has a foundation in the theory of the universe. Yangming’s words express this meaning, as he said, “Who is rootless in a man? A confidant is the root of the spirit.” “Nature is the body of the heart, and heaven is the origin of nature. The mind is the nature.” “The law of heaven is in the heart of man. In ancient times, there is no end, and the law of heaven is the confidant.” (“The Record of Ethics”)
To Yangming, heaven is A confidant is the source of the universe, and it has produced all things. “A confidant is a god for its wonderful use, a spirit for its style, a spirit for its aggregation, and a essence for its aggregation.” “A confidant is the spirit of creation. These spirits, which produce the earth, become ghosts and emperors, all emerge from here. They are truly incompatible with things.” (“Traditional Record”) Essence, atmosphere, and spirit are heavenBreedingThe three differences of confidants express emotions. Essence is yin, atmosphere is yang, and yin and yang are used as gods. These three are the basis for the transformation and production of all things in Liuhe. These three are combined to create all things in Liuhe, including ghosts, gods and people, without anything, and these three are the same as the spirit of creation of the confidant.
So, what are the characteristics of a confidant this day? Yang Ming said that this confidant is similar to Tai Shi, which produces all things, and is the same as all things. The characteristics of Tai Shi are: Zhaoming Spirit, round and collapsing, confusing and uneven things, confusing and uneven things, confusing and uneven things, confusing and uneven things, confusing and uneven things, confusing and uneven things, confusing and uneven things are the same as Tai Shi. What is not there in Taiyin? And nothing can resist the obstacles of Taishen. Why is there another thing that can be used to make obstacles beyond my confidant? ” (“英文典”).
The natural state of the Taiwei friend of the heavenly rule is the state of “no good and no evil”. This to nourish the feelings “no good and no evil” does not mean that there is no distinction between good and bad, but a “best good” state. The natural nature of all things is “best good” or “no good and no evil”. “The highest good is nature, and the nature is not a slight evil, so it is called the highest good. Stop it, but it is restored. “(“Chengyi Record”). “The nature is scattered: from its form, it is called the heaven, the ruler, the emperor, the destiny, the nature of people, the nature of the body, and the heart. “(“Traditional Record”) The “nature” here is said to be a confidant of the heavenly principles. Therefore, the nature of the nature is the inherent goodness of the nature.
The natural natural state of the laws of the heavenly principles and all things that are produced by the Liuhe things are “best good” and “no good and no evil”, which is even more so in terms of people.
